POSITION: RN - full time

DEPARTMENT: Labor and Delivery / Nursery

JOB SUMMARY: Provides direct patient care in Labor and Delivery setting. Provides assessment and planning for individualized patient care. Communicates with physicians regarding changes in patients= clinical condition including fetal monitoring and results of diagnostic studies. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Performs general nursing duties in all Maternal Child Health departments. Participates in performance improvement activities.

EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current RN registration with the Arkansas State Board of Nursing required. Neonatal Resuscitation certification, ACLS, BCLS, fetal monitoring certification.

QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to rotate to various nursing units as the need arises and to adjust to the variety of duties characterized by the frequent changes in work load schedules due to fluctuation of patient census or acuity.
