POSITION AVAILABLE:    Financial Counselor
 
STATUS:                            FT/ Monday-Friday 8-5
 
DEPARTMENT:                  Financial Counseling
 
JOB SUMMARY:               Introduce patients to the hospital and explain and initiate procedures, the consent form and other paperwork by which patients are identified, charged,
                                           and recorded during treatment. Responsible for interviewing patients or their relatives to obtain personal, statistical, and financial information and in doing
                                           so must keep this information confidential according to hospital policy.  Responsible for obtaining deposits and taking payments from patients.  Must be in good physical and mental health. 
 
QUALIFICATIONS:            High School Diploma or equivalent.
 
EXPERIENCE:                  Previous insurance or health care base experience preferred.  Computer experience is required.
