Description

POSITION:        RN  - CCU Nurse Manager

 

DEPARTMENT:        Nursing Department    

 

JOB SUMMARY:    CCU Nurse Manager - Administers, directs, and coordinates activities of patient care within the ICU/CCU service area and is responsible for recommendation, development and implementation of policies and procedures in these areas and for keeping Directors of Nursing informed of both progress and potential problems.  Maintains interdepartmental quality controls and provides for departmental participation in performance improvement and hospital wide in a professional and harmonious manner.

 

EDUCATION:    Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.  Current BSN-RN registration with the Arkansas State Board of Nursing preferred.  Management experience preferred. Minimum 3 yrs. experience as  RN.   ACLS, NALS, and TNCC certified.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:    Ability to rotate to various nursing units as the need arises and to adjust to the variety of duties characterized by the frequent changes in work load schedules due to fluctuation of patient census or acuity.
