POSITION AVAILABLE: Biller/Coder - Home Health
FULL TIME
JOB SUMMARY: Performs bookkeeping, and accounting work in patient billing, collections, and related work. Files and tracks claims. Verifies patient insurance coverage and computes patient insurance benefits. Prepares monthly financial statements. Review of medical records and ensures records are coded in an accurate and timely manner. Assist with personal care program.
- High School Graduate preferred. Previous insurance and health care based experience preferred. Bookkeeping experience preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology helpful. Good communication skills. Good mental and physical health. Verbal ability to present information to staff, unit directors and others. Manual dexterity to operate computer and handle supplies. Visual acuity to read various forms of writing. Aural acuity to hear patients on the phone.
